Hello! I'm Chrystal (or Chrys for short), 19, born in Canada but living in Tokyo at the moment and loving it - I'm on a student exchange programme . I've been under the enchantment of Mischa's bewitchment ever since The O.C and my respect for her has only grown over the years as she's repeatedly shown what an incredibly down-to-earth and lovely soul she possesses, unlike most other young starlets of her generation Hope I'll get to know everyone better in time! ;D

Welcome to our Forum. Tokyo is a great place to be. I like the way you write, and it sounds like you have the same Mischa disease that all of the members are stricken with here. Namely, Mischaitis! I'm sure you'll enjoy posting here. If you need any help, I'll be glad to assist you, along with Jo and Chia (user name Mischa is my life).

Thanks for the welcome! Yes, Tokyo's wonderful. It's so full of extremities (in a good way, of course). "Mischaitis"?? I like that! Haha brilliant... I can now go around proudly proclaiming my affliction since there's a name for it ;D

Hi there, hun, and welcome!!! I'm Jo, the forum founder/admin. As Irvin has already said, if you ever have a problem or need any help, I'm one of those to ask, and I'm always just a PM away. Well, I guess I should tell you a little about myself. I'm 23, born in the UK, now living in California (with a short spell in Canada inbetween...), and like Mischa I'm now a dual UK/US citizen. But I actually spend most of the year back in the UK, as I'm studying here for a Master's Degree. So where in Canada are you from? - I spent about a year and a half living in Edmonton when I was 10....

Thanks everyone! Hi there! I'm Adrian. Welcome to the insanity!! Glad to join the club!! I'm from Montreal, Jo I've moved around quite a bit as well growing up, shuffling back and forth between Montreal, to be with my dad, and London and Paris, to be with my mum. It was total chaos for me as a child... but I now sort of appreciate that I got to grow up under different cultural influences; it helps in one's understanding of the world, in my opinion.

I agree about how moving about helps you understand the world a lot better - that's one thing my mom and dad made sure I had the chance to do, along with my brother and sister. Besides living in the UK (until I was 10), Canada (from 10 to 12) and the US, they made sure I've had the chance to see a lot of the rest of the world too - After I graduated from high school, they paid for me to take a six-month round-the-world trip before I came back here to the UK to start my degree, and I got to visit places like Australia, Japan, China, India, Africa and South America. And while I really love living in California (we're in Marin County, just north of San Francisco), I also love the time I spend here in Manchester - partly because its a really great place to be a student, but mainly because I've got the most wonderful boyfriend here with me!!!! ;D

Yes, California's a really great place ;D Oh and I love the Golden Gate Bakery at San Francisco's Chinatown. Their egg tarts are divine I'd love to visit India... never been there. It must have been incredible for you I went to only Argentina and Brazil in South America and Beijing and Shanghai in China, so it'd be great if I could go back to explore further... I was an avid traveller to Japan even before my exchange programme, so I've pretty much covered all the islands but Hokkaido, which I still haven't found the opportunity to explore! Haha I could go on all day about travel... I just love the way cultures are so diverse. Did you visit a game reserve in Africa?

Sorry for the slight delay in replying - Not only am I busy doing my Master's, but I also spend two or three nights (every Sunday and Monday, plus alternate Thursdays) working behind the bar in a local pub... Yeah, I did visit a game reserve while I was in Africa. I spent about a week in Kenya, and visited one of the reserves there - What an amazing experience! And you know San Francisco? Cool!!! Although I love being back in the UK, the San Francisco area is definitely home for me now, and I really love the time I spend there with my family. The first few years, we lived in the city itself, but now we've moved over the Golden Gate Bridge, about half an hour outside the city, and that's even better!

Visiting San Francisco makes me deliriously happy ;D I actually started in Egypt and travelled all the way down to South Africa, so stopping off in Kenya wasn't too difficult... And yeah, the Bay Area around San Francisco is a great place to live, as there's always so much to see and do. But I prefer actually living just outside of the city, and travelling in when I need to. Not only do we have the most gorgeous house, which is much bigger than we'd ever have in the city, but moving out of the city probably saved my life (and that's no joke, as the "old hands" here know only too well!!). Of course, it does worry some folks here when I'm back home in California and they see on the news that there's been an earthquake there - but I'm used to them now and they don't really worry me too much (and the earthquakes don't really bother me either... ;D).
