I hold dual citizenship at the moment for Canada and Estonia. I'll have to choose when I turn 21... I still haven't made up my mind yet Maybe you guys can help me You've got to choose which one? OMG, why? Can't you have both? Even though I've had US citizenship since I was 18, I've still got my original British citizenship too... Nope... I have to choose one unless things change in the near future Estonia requires me to give up one.... I can maintain dual-citizenship until I'm 21, but I'll have to revoke one after that ..

I still haven't made up my mind yet Maybe you guys can help me I had a similar problem when I turned sixteen I had to choose staying a British citizen or become a Danish Citizen. The reason was that I was born in Copenhagen and had my mum's British citizenship from her not my dad because my dad was born in Iran. It's very confusing if I was in the same boat I would be confused what do.

I have to choose one unless things change in the near future Estonia requires me to give up one.... I can maintain dual-citizenship until I'm 21, but I'll have to revoke one after that .. That sucks, hun... Having dual citizenship is sooooo convenient for me, because having US citizenship makes it a lot easier to travel between the US and Europe - you don't have to go and see the Spanish Inquisition each time you enter the US (I think that's why Mischa went for her US citizenship too...). At the same time, having British citizenship makes travelling around in Europe a hell of a lot easier than if I was just a US citizen. And in the rest of the world, I can choose which one I use - a decision I usually base on which is the most popular (or least hated) country in that particular part of the world!! It's a shame you can't keep both, but different countries have different rules, and you have to go by what they are... (Of course, it usually confuses the hell out of people when they hear me speak with a full-on Californian accent, and I then tell them I'm actually English!!!!!!...)
