Well, just a quick message to let you all know that my b/f and I have arrived safely in San Francisco ready for our ski trip with my family.
I've already linked up with my mom & dad, brother, sister & her hubby, as they've met us at the airport so we can get straight onto the road up to the Sierra Nevadas. So I'm now sat with them all in one of the bars in the arrivals hall, waiting for my poor b/f to finish making his way through Immigration. Based on past experience, we're going to be here a while waiting for him - maybe up to a couple of hours!! Still, at least it gives me time to catch up with everyone, and the bar has got a WiFi hotspot, so I'm able to use my laptop to browse the forum and see what's new.
Once he does get through, we've got a three-and-a half-hour drive up into the mountains. All of this means that we won't get up there until after dark, so no skiing for us today... Still, after a 4am start this morning and an 11-hour flight, I think I'll be ready for some sleep in a proper bed, and there's plenty of time for sliding down a mountain on two planks tomorrow!!
As for the pics of Mischa celebrating, yeah, we should definitely invite her out with us!!!...

Don't worry, hun - I've been skiing for 12 years now, and I think I'm finally getting the hang of it!!! (It's certainly been a while since I did hurt myself doing it...)

(Yes, I KNOW it's the Pacific, but it's not like the water around LA!!!!!)
