LMFAOOOO JO XD
kk so here is the translation of the article! I apologise in advance for any mistake, lol.
In the hostile jungle of the ‘City of Angels’ where all the spoiled girls are claiming their own reality show, Mischa Barton has been able to impose her pretty face and her british ‘nonchalance’. Less trashy than Lindsay Lohan and classier than Jessica Simpson, the Beautiful carries on with her career, despite some escapades. Even if she’ll always be the cute Marissa Cooper…
When we first spotted Mischa Barton’s slim, slender body in a black pair of jeans, we could hardly believe that it was actually the shadow of this graceful 22 year-old girl that made the young Haley Joel Osment shudder in the disturbing horror movie ‘The Sixth Sense’. This English girl has really grown up since then and the ‘People-press’ is totally aware of this. Stalked by hordes of paparazzi delighted by every single or least act of hers, the young actress has lately been finding herself more often on the gossip columns of magazines rather than on the cinema ones.
But Mischa, unlike Paris Hilton&Co. owes her celebrity to her carrer as an actress. Marissa Cooper, the innocent and fragile girl perpetually carrying the latest Chanel handbag from the TV series The O.C., exposed her to the general public. “I’ve grown up with Marissa, even if we’re very different her character taught me lots of things”. Hollywood then made sheep’s eyes and the whole America fell for the charm and deep voice of this amazing british.
In 2007 the teen drama is over and our Teen Idol starts collecting comedies like ‘Medieval Pie’(Virgin Territory) a sort of medieval version of ‘American Pie’ featuring also Hayden Christensen, and ‘The OH in Ohio’ where she plays next to Danny De Vito. Movie won’t make it to the big screen, unfairly. Nonetheless Miss Mischa, step by step keeps gaining popularity and does no longer limit herself to summer comedies. ”I don’t have any specific career plan. When I find myself very involved in a project and when I really love a script at first sight, that’s when I come up like “well ok then, let’s do this!”. With ‘Rebelles’(Lost and Delirious) and Julie Johnson, both premiered at Sundance, she first enjoyed the delight of independent films. And by now it’s clear that this is the way she’s chosen. Not really auteur films for Mischa but more complex roles, and shifty, troubled characters. In ‘Homecoming’, one of her upcoming movies Morgan J. Freeman, creator of the ‘American Psycho’ sequel, offers her the role of a Machiavellian dangerous psychopathic obsessed by the love of her youth. And also, in about 15 days Mischa is going to walk the red carpet of Cannes together with the very biggest stars of cinema. She will present another movies of hers, ‘You and I’ by Roland Joffé. “I play a young troubled American girl with some problems dealing with her mother. She makes friends with a young girl from Moscow through the internet as they’re both fans of the Russian band t.A.T.u.”. The movie is actually the adaptation of a novel about a journey to the darkness and breakdown made by these two young fragile teenagers obsessed by the pseudo-lesbian duo. When we ask her if she already knows what she’s gonna wear on the catwalk in Cannes, mischievous she raises a smile and then in a shy tone says: ”No, I don’t know yet…but you know it’s Cannes, you have to be very glamourous don’t you?”
BEAUTY TRICKS. For me, no granny’s secrets or beauty diets to keep shining! But still, I can’t do without a good daily face cream. The one by Yves Saint Laurent is the best.
FAVOURITE DESIGNERS? For everything that’s classic I love Karl Lagerfeld’s creations for the Chanel brand. If I have to pick a different style, something more alternative, I’d go with Tsumori Chisato, I’m a big fan of his creations.
FETISH ITEMS. The Eagles, The Beatles…I use to collect t-shirts of my favourite rock bands. I love vintage pieces because I can match them with everything!
LATEST PURCHASE? Believe it or not, I don’t spend every minute of my life shopping. I’ve recently bought for myself an amazing leather jacket by Thomas Wylde.
BEST SPOTS? I don’t really have one. I love above all hanging around the streets, either in LA and in Paris.
HER FASHION ICONS. The ’60 and ’70 rock muses Anita Pallenberg and Marianne Faithfull are my inspiration as regards my everyday look. I don’t know if their style is just out of time, but it totally fits our age.
MISCHA BARTON FASHION CARD: Just like every young Hollywood celebrity Mischa decided to rely on Rachel Zoe when it came to her future as fashionista. The famous stylist actually managed to transform Nicole Richie from a Paris Hilton wannabe into a huge untouchable style icon. Like Lindsay Lohan or the Olsen twins, Mischa then becomes a spokeperson for Zoe’s style: a look labelled clean/bohème, a taste of rock but always chich. But Miss Barton wins over the light headed uptown girls: she’s English, she can naturally feel what will next set a trend, lots before her little fake blonde peers ‘made in L.A.’….
