Marie bought the Crash magazine today and she found Mischa talking about the movie:
I'm making a film with Martin Sheen about a disaster. It's the story of Bhopal, the Chernobly of India. There was an explosion in the 80s and gas was released into the air, killing everyone. it wasn't cleaned up properly and children were born with birth defects for years to come. I play a young journalist. She's got notthing to do with the factory but she happens to come across it and this young Indian reporter asks her to write about it. And she refuses. She does what eveyone does when they're asked to do something about a disaster like that. But then the plant explodes and she lives with that guilt for the rest of her life. She comes back at the end of the film and confronts Martin Sheen, who plays the corporate boss of the company. It's a real story that touched so many people's lives. It's like Chernobyl, people still suffer from the effects of it. It's definitely still in the Indian people consciousness and I think worldwide, a lot of people remember Bhopal from the 80s. Just how bad it was. It was pretty shocking.
