Ok i will be honest guys i find one tree hill really boring. And i love the OC because it has mischa in it the main reason why i like this show, she made the show sooo good. I am really annoyed in the Uk channel ( E4 ) they replaced OC with one tree hill and its going to go on for months i dont even know if they will show OC repeats again  . It might be ages. I only love the seasons mischa is in.  |

ofcourse The Oc is better..the best??well for me it is..the only show i watch all the seazons episodes on dvd in 2days(not the 4th seazon) the only better way of one tree hill is Peyton or Brooke is haven't died in the show if i m not wrong

the oc is wayy better than OTH.
in so many ways, the cast, the acting, the storylines, the location...
and hakan, in australia it was the complete opposite.
the oc took over one tree hill. Because the oc
was getting better ratings!
OC over ANYTHING anytime

I'd easily take OTH over the last two seasons of The O.C. As Lozza said, The O.C. did have better plotlines, better acting for the most part, but by the time season two ended, the ratings had dropped significantly and Josh didn't have a clue what he was doing. Season 3 of The OC was a complete mess - Sandy and Kirsten weren't good parents, Seth and Summer were just boring, and Ryan was an asshole. Season four was just laughable, and not in a good way.
I'll always love The OC but OTH is far better in terms of holding ratings, sensible plotlines, and it's written much better.

You know.. I used to be a big OC fan. But after the first 2 seasons, for me it was over. Season 3 sucked it repeated itself over and over again. Ryrissa break up. Setummer break up. Season 4 well I'm not even gonna talk about that one..
One Tree Hill at the other hand, the first two season I liked it, but that was all. But season 3 totally blew me off my feet. Such a great show, seriously. & even now at season 5 I'm hooked. The only thing I hate about it is Peyton & Pucas. Even after 5 years they're still on that stupid traingle. So for me it's like 50/50.

I love the couples on OC more than OTH couples..I mean Ryissa and Seth&Summer there's no love triangle or quadrangle between them:)
just hate the fact there were lots of break up on The OC and season3 finale was the worst of course!!!also I always hate new girls u know(Lindsay,Sadie,Thresa)....
and Kim I dont like PEYTON&LUCAS as well.But OTH's season 4 is totally more beautiful than the OC's fourth season!!And as I see season5's good too!!
Anyway I love both of them.But love the OC a bit more:)

I've only ever watched one episode of One Tree Hill and I found it rubbish to be honest. I can't say I like any of the characters, of their style. Season 1 of The OC was a masterpiece. Nothing can beat it. Except for Oliver, it was damn near perfect. Season 2 was also really good, except for DJ, Malex and Lindsay. Season 3 was when The OC started to go downhill. It pains me to say it, because I LOVE The OC, but Ryan was a prize prat, Seth and Summer were a bit boring, Volchuck was the most annoying and pointless character ever  I've never been that interested in the Kirsten/Sandy storylines, I nearly always skip those parts lol, but in Season 3 they were even worse with Kirsten's lame drinking problem and everything. Saying that, there WERE some great scenes in Season 3 as well, especially with Marissa, but there was just something missing.  Season 4 was just a complete waste of time. I bought it, but I don't wach to watch it again. The OC was completely dead after they killed Marissa. Don't even get me started on that bitch Taylor. Ryan and Taylor together is ridiculous. The Fab Four were split, there was no point to the show any more. I hate Josh, he really butchered my favourite show. |

I don't think Josh ever really knew what he was doing. He was pretty young in the first place and it was his first show, and all of a sudden it's this huge overnight success and he has to figure out ways to keep all the viewers. Hence in season three, when most people had already stopped watching, he figured that making the show a complete mess would help. *facepalm* I liked Volchok, obviously not when he killed Marissa, but Ryan was a jackass and I found it amusing when he had 'Little Bitch' on the side of his car. Though at that point in time I was wondering WTF happened to my favourite show and needed something to laugh at.
I like all of the OTH characters. They're interesting, and their personalities don't get completely flipped to get ratings. And the storylines are somewhat more realistic than the O.C., I don't think it's a boring show at all. Season one was okay, but 2 and 3 of OTH especially kicked ass.

Exactly  I agree completly that is always what i had thought season 1 OC was the best it was so fun with mischa in it. OC season 2 was still good, and then season 3 went a bit crap. Season 4 i didnt even watch because marrisa was dead As the seasons went by i think the OC went less good. Season 1 i can watch over and over again :-XI really loved the whole marrisa and ryan relationship when they were just starting to get to know each other! |

I totally agree with you and I have nothing to add. Just that I like Peyton and Lucas and I liked season 3 of the OC. I think I can't really compare those 2 shows, OK. Josh made them both. but the storylines are sooooo different! It's like comparing Prison break with Lost orso, but that's again... just my opinion. |
