Well I watched the first two episodes of The O.C. and at the end of which my emotions were ripped to shreds. So I listened to:
Jeff Buckley - Hallelujah, lots of Coldplay, Duffy - Stepping Stone, Guns N' Roses - Street Of Dreams, Kings Of Leon - Use Somebody, The Twang - Either Way, The Script - Breakeven. All sad but great songs, most of them making me think of Mischa, sometimes it is good to have a nice cry, afterwards I slept like a cat!

Well, I gave Mischa's recommendation of Def Leppard a chance, and Love Bites is an absolutely brilliant song. Not a big fan of Hysteria though. I'll have to try some more!
Motorhead - King Of Kings. Black Sabbath - Paranoid.

Black Sabbath - Paranoid. You really need the pre-1987 Def Leppard stuff, as that's when they were a proper rock band, and before the commercial concerns started to influence their sound.

Have you got any recommendations you'd like to share? I think most people would probably say that "Pyromania" is the best early album...
